We are partnered with an industry leading Columbus, OH based manufacturing company (over 60+ year old organization) in search of a Customer Care Representative/Planner to add to their team. The Manufacturing Engineer will be a driven self-starter, highly motivated and comfortable working with limited supervision while delivering results in a fast-paced environment. You have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and interact comfortably with colleagues and outside partners at all levels throughout the plant in multiple areas of Operations.
This position will be responsible for interacting with team members and customers to assess needs, provide technical support, communicate product/cost information.  The CCR Supervisor will function as the liaison between suppliers, manufacturing, customer, shipping/receiving, and quality to ensure raw materials are within specification and available to meet production schedules. This position has the goal of improving customer loyalty/satisfaction.

  • Receives and enters orders in system and send confirmation to customer via email or customer portal
  • Provide routine reports/data analysis information to customer and internally as requested
  • Update customers on order status and delivery performance
  • Inquire on new orders
  • Update pricing information on computer each time new customer order is entered, as applicable
  • Function as liaison between customer, manufacturing and vendors to ensure needs are met
  • Coordinate raw consigned materials from outside vendors/customers.  Coordinate with customers and vendors to ensure consigned parts are brought in on a timely basis.  Monitor inventory levels of overstocks, under stocks, stock authorities and discrepancies
  • Manage sample requests and collaborates with internal departments and customer meet customer needs
  • Research and resolve difficult customer service situations in a calm and efficient manner
  • Ensure that the interest of the Company and our Customers are being represented and properly acted upon in decisions regarding customer care and support
  • Support Account Managers/Sales Team as requested
  • Engage with customers by partaking in on-site visits
  • Follows all procedures as detailed in customer care operations policies and guidelines.
  • Requires Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, operations management or related field or 5-7 years of planning or customer care experience and 3-5 years supervisory experience.
  • Web Portal experience highly preferred.
  • CPIM training / certification a plus.
  • Microsoft Office skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Explorer).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Maintains a tactful, professional demeanor in all customer situations.
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excels in a fast paced environment with energy, innovation and flexibility.
  • Strong problem solving and high attention to detail.
