We’re excited to partner with a world-class producer of bar code readers, mobile computers, sensors, vision systems and laser marking systems, seeking a Key Account Manager to pursue and manage tier two, and three retailers.
The Key Account Manager is responsible for the direct development of both new and existing retail end users in their assigned geography.  He/she will work to introduce the brand and entire product offering into all areas of the targeted organization.  The ideal candidate will be well versed in retail technologies, and a track record of success winning retail business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
·        Strong focus on prospecting the assigned geography with the intention of identifying and then developing retail customer opportunities through the sales funnel process.
·        Establish professional relationships with key decision makers and influencers in retail accounts
·        Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
·        Strategically collaborate with channel partners to cross-sell into accounts and effectively close sales
·        Create a territory business plan, outlining your strategy to sell the complete product portfolio. 
·        Proactively assess, clarify, and validate the customer needs on an ongoing basis.
·        Acts as the voice of the customer internally in an effort to keep company informed on the customers’ requirements in terms of product development. 
Requirements
·        Well versed in retail technology-scanning, handheld computing, bar-coding, P.O.S., self-checkout, asset tracking labeling, printing, payment terminals, etc.
·        Demonstrates excellent presentation skills. This person can stand in front of multi-level executives and make compelling presentations.
·        Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·        Understand of the DL portfolio and retail vertical industry.
·        Experience selling into the Retail vertical or Retail industry experience
·        Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience to end users and through channel partners
·        Willingness to travel throughout a multi-state geography.
Education
·        Bachelor’s Degree preferably in a technical discipline: Electrical Engineering/Industrial Engineering or Business/Marketing degree with at least 4 years of technical experience
