As a key member of the operations team, the Production Supervisor reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for leading manufacturing operations in a specific department including: safety, assembly, planning, quality and inventory management. The Production Supervisor manages a team of hourly employees and supports the Plant Manager to achieve plant goals and objectives.

  • Have experience leading  a multi-shift manufacturing operation
Safety Oriented

  • Leads incident investigations to completion in a timely manner.
Production Management
  • Delivers robust manufacturing plans to ensure the production operates at optimum levels with efficient utilization of people, equipment, and resources.
  • Ensures superior customer service and quality through effective department scheduling and cross department communication.
  • Minimizes scrap and material losses; maximizes throughput yields. Continuously seeks and implements cost and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Work with maintenance and engineering to support the needs of the plant.
People Management
  • Identifies, manages and develops talent to maximize individual and team effectiveness. Fosters a culture of engagement and accountability.
  • Uses effective change management skills to effectively plan, implement and evaluate change.
Manufacturing Support Activities
  • Supports management of quality systems. Ensures compliance with ISO requirements. Utilizes quality management systems to support continuous improvement efforts within the department and broader plant.
  • Supports complaint investigation; ensures customer needs are met during complaint investigation process.
  • Participate in capital project execution as well as new product launch activities
 
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree Required (engineering or technical degree ideal).
  • 5+ years experience in industrial manufacturing and manufacturing leadership preferred (team lead or production supervisor)
  • FDA and/or Medical Device knowledge/experience required
  • Experience in Lean and/or continuous improvement environments utilizing tools such as Kaizen, Kanban, visual workplace, 5S, etc.
  • Good communication skills, including working across multiple departments and functions.
  • Demonstrated success in influencing others to achieve results in a business environment
