Our client is a stable and growing organization that is investing in its future.  They are looking to bring on a talented Electrical Engineer that will help them to establish and build out its Engineering Department. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for working with Engineering leaders to develop documentation controls and catalog systems for the engineering department.
  • Responsible for working with Engineering leaders to create internal standards for electrical panels, equipment, PLC’s, and automation.
  • Work in unison with Engineering team to identify project requirements and to notify the Management Team of any changes to requirements and to identify new projects for continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Develop Project Plans, Scope of Work, Engineering Plans, Review and modify designs based on requirements and feasibility, develop BOMs, identify and oversee procurement efforts.
  • Create Engineering Packets in order to create and attain RFPs for products and project work required to achieve engineering goals.
  • Assist and mentor support staff in the fundamentals of Electrical design, calculations and preparation of construction/technical documentation.
  • Provide technical assistance and respond to contractor’s inquiries that relate to electrical requirements within projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, cost analysis and ROIs for assigned projects and project proposals.
  • Coordinate and schedule / plan the projects with support staff to ensure timely  completion.
  • Prepare material cost and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications for electrical building systems and equipment.
  • Oversee and inspect the installation, modification, testing, and operation of electrical equipment.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree
  • 3 – 5 years of experience required
  • Electrical Design and PLC experience required
  • Project Engineering/Management experience

The PLC Programmer will be responsible, new programming, upgrades, troubleshooting of PLC Programming of manufacturing equipment. They will also, set up and program PLC and VFD and all drives, read and wire electrical schematics/diagrams, troubleshoot circuits and controls with minimal supervision.
 
Responsibilities
  • Hands on PLC Controls system design, development, programming, instrument/control integration, SCADA interface and integration.
  • Program HMI/GUI and PLC logic and integrate discrete/analog devices into equipment per project specifications.
  • Simulate, test, and commission control systems based on System Sequence of Operations and Process Flow Diagram.
  • Provide technical support during startup and commissioning of new installations
  • Support for existing installations and troubleshoot machine and control system issues.
  • Apply human factors and usability engineering in the development and modification of software.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering, product management, and technical support teams.
 
Qualifications and Skills
  • An AA degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance a plus with 4+ years of manufacturing experience
  • PLC programming experience required
  • Working knowledge of control communication platforms.
  • Preferred to have strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills.
  • Knowledge of Computer Aided Design programs
  • Proficiency expected in one of the following; Productivity 2000, Allen-Bradley (RSLogix 5000), Siemens, Omron, and or other industry standard PLC platforms, and ladder logic.
  • Experience in writing HMI code using Factory Talk View, WonderWare, Siemens WINCC, and other industry standard Graphic User Interfaces.
  • Working experience with networking  platforms: Ethernet, TCP/IP, Serial, DeviceNet, SCADA communication platforms. SECS/GEM communication platform a plus.
  • Read and understand electrical schematics, physical and ladder diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams.
  • VFD programming and motor control experience preferred.
