AT3 Staffing is excited to partner with an industry leading manufacturing company in the Ann Arbor Michigan area, in search of a Plant Manager.  Our client has been in business for 50+ years and offers a fantastic working culture, room for advancement and a competitive compensation package.
 
As a member of the leadership team, the Plant Manager is accountable for meeting all established goals, metrics and standards, and for assuring compliance in all areas of the operation to include Manufacturing, Maintenance, Materials Planning, Receiving and Distribution.  This is a very hands on role.
 
Responsibilities of Plant Manager:
·       Plans & directs production operations, facilities, manufacturing engineering, equipment
maintenance & site safety and is responsible for environmental program compliance
·       Schedules production and hours of operation for manufacturing and plant services
·       Ensures Federal, State and local regulatory compliance for facilities
·       Leads Lean initiatives to include identified cost reduction and improvement efforts
·       Responsible for manufacturing during new product development and launch
·       Responsibility for facilities and maintenance to include purchase and maintenance of
equipment and for scheduling preventative maintenance
·       Leads problem solving efforts by managing collaboration with Quality and other
departments regarding root cause analysis to address quality and customer concerns
·       Works cross-functionally to establish production and QC standards, manufacturing
objectives & on-time delivery requirements
·       Coordinates production activities with Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance and
Quality to optimize operational performance
·       Coaching leadership style with a strong purpose toward developing others to include
salaried leadership through to the shop floor
·       Hands on individual who is willing to perform any level of work
·       Well versed in Problem Solving, Lean and Six Sigma tools. Able to teach these concepts
and tools to others in the course of solving problems aligned with the company’s
objectives and in presentation settings
 
 
Requirements of Plant Manager:
 
·       Bachelors Degree
·       7+ years operational management experience in a similar role and environment
·       OSHA, LEAN, Six Sigma experience
