We are working with a leading manufacturing company North of the Dayton Ohio area looking for a Plant Manager for their team.  This individual will be responsible for overseeing the plant operation management team and be responsible for ensuring that all goals and standards are being met consistently. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Plan and direct daily operations for manufacturing floor, engineering department and maintenance department.
  • Provide guidance, leadership, training, coaching and mentoring to direct reports in order to assist direct and indirect reports with ongoing professional development.
  • Ensure facility safety and environmental compliance requirements are being met.
  • Works with cross functional teams to set and establish production requirements, quality standards and processes to ensure on-time delivery requirements are met.
  • Acting as a change agent, responsible for review of existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for new Lean System Implementation projects.
  • Responds to production problems and pursues/implements remedies to such problems
  • Responsible for managing departmental budgets and cost controls
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant technical discipline
  • 5+ years of similar plant management experience required
  • Prefer experience within a metal fabrication experience
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to lead supervisory and production personnel. Ability to create and thrive in a Total Quality Management/Continuous Improvement environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Methodologies and implementation experience required.
