We have a new Technical Trainer/Instructional Development opportunity in Dayton, Ohio, with an industry leading manufacturer and distributor.    This role will provide training to field service technicians.  Conduct and develop training programs, evaluate performance of training participants and provide feedback and recommendations to management to enhance effectiveness and skills development.  Our client offers a competitive compensation package including salary, bonus, and full medical benefits.
 
Responsibilities of Technical Trainer:
 
  • Instruct technicians in servicing of equipment products through lecture, audio-visual, online self-paced modules, hands-on student involvement and other delivery methods.
  • Provide necessary suggestions, structure and support to maintain an effective learning environment.
  • Evaluate performance of training participants.
  • Develop training curricula and programs.
 
Minimum Qualifications of Technical Trainer:
 
  • Electrical or mechanical training and or experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint including but not limited to data extraction via advanced features in Excel, Presenter, and creating and converting Word documents into PDF format.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Writing, training facilitation and computer skills are required.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Associates Degree in electronics/mechanical, training or other related fields.
  • 2 – 3 years’ courseware development experience in a technical environment – WBT “Web Based Training” / CBT “Computer Based Training” development experience.
  • Instructional design and delivery.
  • Multi-media production and other technology-based training.
