AT3 Professional Staffing, Inc., a leader in executive search with manufacturing organizations has partnered with a leading worldwide designer, supplier and manufacturer of engineered products for the transportation industry to lead a search for the Maintenace Supervisor role at their Findlay, OH area location.
 
Position Summary
Responsible for coordinating and supervising maintenance tasks performed on facilities and equipment. Maintains production equipment in a manner that meets organization standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime. Establishes and maintains preventive maintenance programs and procedures. Oversees mechanics/technicians who repair and maintain equipment. Administers training programs to ensure proper operations, preventive maintenance, and repair programs and procedures. Maintains inventory of spare parts. Typically requires technical training and six years of experience, including supervision.
 
Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties)
  • Prepares work schedules and gives work assignments to subordinates.
  • Directs workers engaged in maintaining and repairing building utility systems, such as electrical wiring and controls, heating and ventilating systems.
  • Supervises workers engaged in installing, servicing, and repairing mechanical equipment.
  • Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
  • Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems.
  • Supervise security to protect employees and property.
  • Direct workers engaged in ground maintenance activities, such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, raking and disposing of leaves and refuse, and snow removal.
  • Supervise custodial services.
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, training staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.
  •  In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.
  •  Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
 
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education / Experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience required to successfully complete the primary accountabilities is indicated below)
  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or, Facilities Management preferred
  • 5 or more years of Leadership or supervisor roles within an industrial manufacturing maintenance team
