We are partnered with an industry leading manufacturing company in search of a Mechanical Design Engineer to add to their team. You will be a driven self-starter, highly motivated and comfortable working with limited supervision while delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
In this position you will be responsible for the development of CNC programs for milling applications, as well as determining machining methods, work sequence, selection of tooling, and project documentation. The CAD/CAM Programmer creates drawings and CNC programs using the provided CAD/CAM software. This individual should also be familiar with FANUC based G-Code/M-Code and should be able to perform post-process editing. The ability to determine the manufacturing process of a new product from the fixture/work holding stage to the finish product is essential for this position t75 also identify opportunities and/or implement changes to improve design manufacturing processes or products or to reduce costs, using knowledge processes, tooling and equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.   • Develop CNC programs
  • Maintain detailed records for all CNC programs, including tooling
  • Work with 3&4 Axis Vertical and Horizontal milling machines
  • Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes
  • Participate in the continuous review of our machining processes, focusing on opportunities for improvement in productivity, quality, and cost reduction
  • Evaluate manufactured products according to specification and quality standards
  • Recommend corrective or preventive actions to assure or improve product quality or reliability
  • Identify or implement new or sustainable manufacturing technologies, processes, or equipment
  • Minimum Associates Degree in Technical, Manufacturing, or Engineering studies; or, Journeyman Certification or equivalent 4 years Programming / Machining experience.
  • Hand on experience- prior manual machining experience is a plus
  • Proficient in CNC software programs
  • Experience with computer aided manufacturing CAM software
  • Excellent attention to detail. Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
